Taylor ripped off Lana

Hello, everyone. I’m back with a new post about your favorite pop princess Taylor Swift, but instead of talking about her fauxlationships today, I’m gonna talk about how Taylor rips off her songs from the amazing singer/songwriter Lana Del Rey so let’s get started shall we:

This whole thing started when Taylor debuted her video I knew you were trouble in Dec. 2012:

There was a bit of a controversy surrounding the video because, it looked very similar to a music video Lana put out 2 months ago called Ride:

Let’s look at the similarities of the videos shall we:

At the beginning, the music videos both have long narration intros about losing the men in their lives

Riding in vehicles with guys

Dating similar guys

Are in similar moods

Have breakdowns

and has a series of montage flashbacks

P.S. Taylor also ripped off Rihanna’s We found love

And, I know that Lana and Taylor’s were both directed by the same guy, but Taylor could’ve changed her concept

Anyway, let’s move along now to October 2014 when Tay dropped 1989

In November, Taylor released her 2nd single from the album titled Blank Space:

and it featured this lyric:

But, back in December 2011, Lana Del Rey released a song titled Born to Die which featured this lyric:

On Blank Space, Taylor also sang this lyric:

But around the same time Lana released a song called Black Beauty with these lyrics:

“I paint the sky black

I keep my lips red

To seem like cherries in the spring.”

Still on Blank Space, Taylor sang these lyrics:

Back in 2013, a Lana Del Rey song titled Queen of Disaster leaked onto the web:

Moving on, Taylor released her 3rd single titled Style that had these lyrics:

In 2012, a Lana song called Velvet Crowbar was leaked onto the web:

“Flame coloured paradise,
For you darlin.”

Continuing on Style, Taylor sang these lyrics:

In 2012, Lana released a song titled Blue Jeans with these lyrics:

“It was like, James Dean, for sure.”

Taylor also sang these lyrics from Style:

Lana also sang these lyrics from Blue Jeans:

In December 2015, Taylor released her 6th single titled Out of the Woods with these lyrics:

“The rest of the world was black and white
But we were in screaming color.”

In 2013, an unreleased Lana song called TV In Black & White leaked with these lyrics:

“Living without you is like TV in black and white
You turned me on and brought color into my life.”

In 2014, Taylor has another song on 1989 called How You Get The Girl with these lyrics:

“I would wait for ever and ever.”

Lana sang this lyric from Blue Jeans:

“I would wait a million years.”

Taylor also has another song on 1989 called New Romantic with these lyrics:

“We cry tears
Of mascara in the bathroom.”

Lana has a song on her album called Born to Die (2012) with these lyrics:

Continuing on New Romantics, Taylor sang this lyric:

“Heartbreak is the national anthem.”

In 2012, Lana released a song titled National Anthem:

In May 2015, Taylor released her 4th single titled Bad Blood with this lyric:

“Did you have to hit me, where I’m weak?”

In 2014, Lana released a single called Ultraviolence with this lyric:

In August 2015, Taylor released her 5th single called Wildest Dreams with these lyrics:

“He said, “Let’s get out of this town,
Drive out of the city, away from the crowds.”
I thought heaven can’t help me now.
Nothing lasts forever, but this is gonna take me down.”

In 2012, Lana released a song called Lucky Ones with these lyrics:

“Let’s get out of this town, baby we’re on fire
Everyone around here seems to be going down, down, down.”

Taylor’s song Wildest Dreams also sounds a lot like Lana’s Without You.

Let’s compare them side by side shall we:

I guess Queen Tay isn’t the queen after all. But, I know what she is the queen of though: copycating. And, people call Katy Perry a copycat.

I wish Lana would sue her though, but as we all know Lana is too mature and professional to stoop to Taylor’s level.

But, at least Lana will always be the queen of making amazing music unlike Tay.

Well, that’s it for now kids. I’ll be keeping my eye on Tay if she tries to copy even more of Lana’s songs and tomorrow tune in to see me talk about Taylor’s surgeries. Tomorrow is gonna be good I just know it. Bye.

this is a reach. by virtue of using similar words, or tunes in songs, then lana del rey is guilty of copying off florence and the machine

  2. Lavern Pomainville · November 21

    great website.

  3. Kamila Ray · December 4

Great article. She also copies Lana in her new album reputation. Would love to see a post about that. 🙂
